Dear Colleagues,

Healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) remain one of the most significant yet preventable challenges threatening patient safety, increasing morbidity and mortality, and placing a substantial burden on healthcare systems. The widespread implementation of effective, sustainable, and standards-based practices in infection prevention and control is only possible through well-structured, up-to-date, and practice-oriented educational programs.

As the Turkish Society of Hospital Infections and Control (H?DER), we are pleased to invite you to the “Integrated Governance in Healthcare-Associated Infections” training programs, prepared with a comprehensive educational approach to infection prevention and control. The Basic Training Module will be held in Diyarbak?r on February 13–14, 2026, and we are delighted to share this experience with you.

This basic training program aims to provide healthcare professionals with a solid foundation of knowledge and practical skills in key areas, including the epidemiology of hospital infections, modes of transmission, standard precautions, hand hygiene, surveillance, cleaning–disinfection–sterilization practices, diagnostic testing, and the functioning of infection control committees. The program also seeks to convey an integrated governance perspective that highlights the critical role of infection control in combating antimicrobial resistance.

The Basic Training Module is designed for physicians, nurses, infection control teams, and all healthcare professionals who are new to infection control or wish to update their knowledge. It also serves as a strong foundation for the advanced training modules planned in this field.

We would be honored to have you join us in this educational process, which places patient safety at its core and translates scientific knowledge into practice.

Knowledge initiates change in infection control; practice saves lives.

Sincerely,
Prof. Dr. Emine ALP ME?E
President
Turkish Society of Hospital Infections and Control (HIDER)
